| The particularity of the town of Tignale (typical of many other towns of the high Garda area) is the fact that it is constituted by 6 hamlets, among which, no one has the name Tignale: Gardola (seat of the the town hall), Piovere, Prabione, Aer, Olzano and Oldesio.
In the communal territory of Tignale, there is the sanctuary of Montecastello, that rises nearly at the top of Monte Cas on a limestone spike, with a wonderful view on the lake. With its spirituality, it is one of the sacred places most loved of the Garda, famous for its history and the architectonic, artistic and landscape beauty. Since centuries it is a place of pilgrimage and devotion, particularly to the Vergine Maria, represented in an ancient and miraculous fresco in the main apse.
In Tignale, in the hamlet of Prabione, there is also the Museum of the Alto Garda Bresciano Park; a trip through images and sounds, the evocation of personages and the reconstruction of atmospheres, naturalistic collections and collections of old tools, short films and interactive emplacements: a new and pleasant way in order to dip in the variety of the Garda atmosphere and to approach the traditional activities, from fishing to cultivation of the lemon and olive trees, from mountain agriculture to the handicraft productions.
